Empowering your vision with an
abundance of sourcing solutions
Since its founding in 2002,
Avela Global has redefined the standards of global sourcing. From its initial offices in Houston and Shanghai, the company has grown into an extensive network with established locations in Vietnam, Cambodia and Mumbai with a sales office in Dubai.
Our values-driven approach has cultivated a collaborative, trust-based ecosystem that benefits everyone—from factory owners to end clients—strengthening partnerships and establishing a foundation of reliability in a dynamic global market.
Simplifying complexity
The hard part of making a product is held in one place, so the client does not have to manage the factory, the sample, and the shipment separately.
.
Being accountable
One person owns the project from the brief to shipment readiness.
Trust through performance
Goods match what was agreed, because quality is planned before production and inspected before shipment.
Customer-centricity
The specification, the date, and the standard come from the client, and the work is judged against that.

“I believe the best solutions come from understanding the whole picture. When you know how every piece connects—from product development to manufacturing, quality and delivery—you can solve problems faster and turn ambitious ideas into reality.“
Scott Young
scott.young@avela.com
Scott Young joined Avela Global as Chief Commercial Officer in September 2026. From Houston, he leads commercial growth across the company’s offices, turns new opportunities into clear commercial commitments, and keeps the market position consistent: product development, in-house quality control, and factory transparency. He also leads the company’s use of practical technology, including artificial intelligence, so the team spends less time on repetitive work and more time on the client. He is an electrical engineer. Before Avela, he was an EPC project manager at Burns & McDonnell, and earlier led electrical and systems work at Chevron and ExxonMobil. That background is what he brings to technical and industrial conversations.
“I care about the hard problem, the people who have to solve it, and a way of working that makes a difference. “
Prisila Hernandez
p.hernandez@avela.com
Prisila Hernandez is Project Administrator in Houston. She keeps active orders visible after they are placed: working records, client invoices, shipment paperwork, and shipment status. On accounts where Avela clears the freight, she prepares the United States clearance documents and keeps the customer informed. She is a point of contact once the order is moving.
“One of the exciting things about this job is being a part of helping customers reach their goals. It’s a great opportunity to find and develop hidden skills.”
China Office —Shanghai
Nancy Li
nancyli@avela.com
Nancy Li is Legal Representative and General Manager of the Shanghai office, where she has worked since 2012. She represents the China business, mentors the Shanghai team, and is accountable for the office result across sourcing, quality clearance, and shipment coordination. She also supports client and supplier visits in China and presents Avela’s capabilities accurately. Her work depends on reading the commercial requirement and the factory reality in the same conversation.
“My job helps people achieve success. I love the different stories of different people, and I love to be part of their success stories.”
Elaine Wong
ylwang@avela.com
Ellen Huang is Sourcing Manager in China. She takes a customer brief through factory development, pricing, samples, production, and shipment booking, so the product matches what was agreed. Her work is strongest in metal fabrication and cut-and-sew. She visits factories, compares capability rather than assuming the obvious supplier is the right one, and keeps the project moving to shipment readiness.
“I love the personal growth and lifelong learning that occurs every day through my job. It is great motivation.”
Ellen Huang
ellen.h@avela.com
Ellen Huang brings over six years of experience in purchasing, sourcing and merchandising to her position as sourcing manager with Avela Corporation. Her job involves her in working with a variety of products and customer needs, and she enjoys the challenges.
A manufacturer who has been making the same product for years isn’t always the best choice for a similar product. Often Ms. Huang finds herself studying different manufacturers’ capabilities to find a good fit that might not be obvious at first.
“Helping customers with sourcing in China often requires creative thinking as well as positive and proactive action. Finding new, effective solutions for new and different products in meeting the customers’ requirements can be very rewarding.”
QiQi
qiqi@avela.com
OiOi,with over twelve years experience in managing industrial product quality, Mr. Qi approaches his job from the customers’ perspective.
Quality Assurance as defined by QiQi: “Quality Assurance is planing before production, then inspected in the factory, so problems are caught before they are built in and again before the goods ship. As he says it, “I try to feel what they feel and consider what they will care about. I am always one with them in my concern for their product.”
Mr. Qi is involved with resolving technical issues in pre-production planning with scientific and systematic solutions to limit the risk of problems down the line. He follows through with inspections of the manufacturing process and the final product, making sure it conforms to customer requirements.
““Since taking this job, every day has been interesting and never dull. It brings me different challenges from different products and production processes. There is infinite freshness that fulfill my curiosity about new things.””
